For a prominent New York City hedge fund that
needed to build a family office to manage the personal finances and business
affairs of the firm's partners, we recruited the leader of a major
multi-family-office practice to initiate and lead that function for the firm. For a global cosmetics and skin care company that
sought to combine all back office, logistical and manufacturing operations
under a President of Global Operations, we recruited an executive who combined
these functions into a coordinated team for the first time in their history. For a leading HMO, we recruited a Head of
Strategic Sourcing who rapidly transformed a regionalized, independent sourcing
operation into a national, well coordinated function that improved customer
service and delivered significant cost savings. For a prestigious Midwestern University, we recruited the head
of supercomputing for their computer science department. The successful
candidate coalesced the team in place and attracted other superior computer
scientists and built a best-in-class computer science program. For a leading aerospace manufacturer that sought to improve
efficiencies and save millions of dollars in consulting fees by building their
own internal audit function, we recruited a highly-respected general auditor
who gave the nascent function instant credibility within the organization and
built a best-in-class audit function. For the State of Connecticut, we recruited the commissioners
of Economic Development, Environment Health and Safety, and
Transportation. The incoming governor’s mandate to us was to identify
executives who could lead the transformation of these departments which could
effectively enforce regulations while encouraging commercial investments in the
state of Connecticut. For a 50 billion dollar aerospace manufacturer, we placed two
divisional heads of Environmental Health and Safety who developed teams that
delivered both “greener” and cost-effective operational improvements.
